وزیرِ اعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز شریف کی خصوصی ہدایات پر شیخ زید میڈیکل کالج و ہسپتال رحیم یار خان میں 50 بیڈز پر مشتمل جدید برن یونٹ کی تعمیر کا کام تیزی سے جاری ہے، جو صحت کے شعبے میں ایک اہم سنگِ میل ثابت ہوگا۔
اس سلسلے میں ڈسٹرکٹ کوارڈینیشن کمیٹی کے چیئرمین و ممبر قومی اسمبلی سردار اظہر خان لغاری، معروف صنعتکار و ممبر بورڈ آف مینجمنٹ شیخ زید ہسپتال حاجی محمد ابراہیم، سابق ممبر قومی اسمبلی شیخ فیاض الدین، پرنسپل شیخ زید میڈیکل کالج و ہسپتال پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد سلیم لغاری اور دیگر معزز شخصیات نے منصوبے کا دورہ کیا اور جاری تعمیراتی کام کا تفصیلی جائزہ لیا۔
اس موقع پر رہنماؤں نے کہا کہ یہ جدید برن یونٹ نہ صرف جنوبی پنجاب بلکہ دور دراز علاقوں کے مریضوں کے لیے بھی بڑی سہولت فراہم کرے گا۔ جدید طبی سہولیات سے آراستہ یہ منصوبہ انسانی خدمت کی بہترین مثال بنے گا اور قیمتی جانیں بچانے میں اہم کردار ادا کرے گا۔
دورے کے دوران تعمیراتی کام کو تسلی بخش قرار دیتے ہوئے امید ظاہر کی گئی کہ پانچ منزلہ اس جدید برن یونٹ کو مقررہ مدت میں مکمل کر لیا جائے گا۔
تمام معزز شخصیات نے وزیرِ اعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز شریف کا اس فلاحی منصوبے پر شکریہ ادا کرتے ہوئے اسے صحت کے شعبے میں ایک تاریخی قدم قرار دیا، جبکہ منصوبے کی بروقت تکمیل اور کامیابی کے لیے خصوصی دعا بھی کی گئی۔
اس موقع پر انسٹیٹیوشنل کمیٹی شیخ زید میڈیکل کالج و ہسپتال کے کنوینر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر خرم سلام سہگل، ایکٹنگ میڈیکل سپرنٹنڈنٹ ڈاکٹر امبرین بھٹی، ایکسن شیخ زید ہسپتال ضیغم عباس، الیکٹریکل انجینئر فیصل فاران، مکینیکل انجینئر بلال منصور، ایس ڈی او سی اینڈ ڈبلیو خالد محمود اور دیگر انجینئرز بھی کمیٹی کے ہمراہ تھے۔
